G.O.A.L!

A few months ago I randomly came across a free hockey program for kids ages 5 to 8 called G.O.A.L! (Get Out And Learn).  It is run by the Nashville Predators and was created to offer kids the opportunity to experience hockey without the cost of purchasing equipment.  It's for kids with no prior hockey or skating experience and lasts four weeks.

I got Suzy to do it with us so Riley, Chase, and Carter are in the same session.  This Tuesday the kids got to go to A-Game (a huge complex with 2 hockey rinks, 6 basketball courts, 12 volleyball courts, and more) to get fitted for all their equipment.  And there is a lot of equipment.  We were even given this handout so we'd know how to put it all on the kids!!!

Besides all the pads and helmet, the kids get a jersey and stick to keep.  The entire program is 100% free too!  Love that!

Carter is so, so excited.  But I know he has no idea how hard ice skating is.  It should be interesting.  And Rylan is so very jealous.  He loves hockey more than Carter.  It's hard being the younger sibling!  But he's at least enjoying wearing all the pads around the house EVERYDAY right now!

Carter with all his gear on!  It looks hard to move with all that on!  But isn't he so cute??? :)
