We're planning on having a second tree next year upstairs that will be the kids' tree. It'll be where we hang all their ornaments they make in school.
When Brian was out of town and we were expecting snow, I bought a ton of craft supplies and got Carter started on making his own ornaments. Some turned out really nice and others not so much, but he participated in making all of them and usually had fun doing it!
For this craft we used the Crayola air dry clay and used Christmas cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Carter then decorated the ornaments with sequins.
Carter made some reindeer with wooden clothes pins.
We tried to make some ornaments with beads and pipe cleaners.
Carter was awesome at putting beads on the pipe cleaners ...
But after he'd get about 15 on, it was more fun to take them off than to complete the project so these never got made.
My mom helped Carter make some ornaments too ...

They also painted ...

And I forgot to post these pictures before of Carter helping me decorate a little tree we put up. He did a great job putting the ornaments on the tree but again they all got hung on the string of beads ...

Gosh! The boys are getting cuter and bigger by the minute! Really enjoyed teh pics of the ornaments. I tried to do a lot with Cooper as well. She especially loved making applesauce ornaments (applesauce and cinnamon until it makes a dough), rolling it out, and using cookie cutters to make the shapes. They smell great too! Hope you guys had a great holiday :)
