Santa!!!

We finally visited Santa tonight.  I don't even know how to explain how excited Carter was when we told him where we were going.  He was screaming and yelling "Yeah!  Santa!  Yeah!".

Carter picked out what he wanted to ask Santa for a few weeks before Thanksgiving.  When we got a huge Toys 'R Us ad, I suggested he should look through it to see if there was anything he wanted to ask Santa for.  He quickly found a Spiderman toy with a remote control motorcycle.  He hasn't changed his mind over a month later.

When "Santa" went to get Carter's toy, Spiderman toys were buy one, get one 50% off.  So "Santa" decided Rylan would get a Spiderman toy.  He was with "Santa" but didn't seem to notice what was getting bought.  On another visit to Toys 'R Us, Rylan randomly picked up the toy "Santa" got and said he wanted it.  Score!  He's been saying for at least a week now that he wants Spiderman's Racecar.

Tonight we were going up to Opryland to see the lights so we decided to visit Santa at Bass Pro Shop at Opry Mills.  They give you a FREE 4x6 photo and also have a lot of fun activities to do.  When we got to Bass Pro, there was only one family in front of us so we barely had to wait.  I was holding Carter and he was so excited that he couldn't stop shaking.

When it was our turn, Carter went right up to Santa and sat on his lap.  He was a little nervous and quiet, but did answer Santa's questions.  Rylan on the other hand was a little more cautious.  He did not want to sit on Santa's lap but he gave Rylan a candy cane and then Rylan was fine standing in front of Santa.  After getting their picture taken, Carter told Santa what he wanted and I told Santa what Rylan wanted since he refused to talk.

Overall, it went great!  Neither boy freaked out and the Santa wasn't creepy at all (most mall ones are).  And Carter is SO HAPPY!
