We got there early and sat in the car for awhile in view of the start/finish line. Luckily the rain/mist pretty much stopped before the race and throughout it.
Once Brian went to go warm-up and head to the starting line, the boys and I drove to the midway point of the race. The boys made signs this morning to hold up when Brian passed.
We also brought along a cowbell that Brian and I won at a mountain biking race several years ago. Hopefully we weren't too annoying to the cop at the intersection!
As soon as we saw the first runner come by, Rylan started holding his sign over his head and didn't put it down until Brian came by several minutes later. His poor arms had to be tired!

Once Brian passed us, we quickly got back in the car and headed to the finish line. We parked in the same 15 minute parking spot we were in before (parking is usually really hard to find) and got to the finish line about one minute before Brian showed up (he's in the center of the photo).
Brian did great and we are super proud!
