Water Day

Carter's teacher really wanted to make the kids' last day of school really special.  I believe that all but one of the kids is going to kindergarten next year, and since we don't do a graduation ceremony or anything, she thought it would be great to have a fun day that they'd remember.

So Ms. Denise planned a water day for the kids.  A couple of moms and I provided a bunch of small pools, water toys, and sprinklers and set everything up in a grassy area outside of the school.  It was a warm, sunny day with a good breeze making it a perfect day for a water day.

As part of her end-of-year gift to the kids, Ms. Denise gave all the kids a beach ball.  We only had to chase a few across the parking lot when the breeze took them away :)

How many kids can you fit into an extra-small baby pool (Carter, Quinn, Lacie, Molli, & Annalane):

Annalane's mom had the most popular sprinkler of all - this hopscotch mat.  The water pressure was really strong coming out of the building so the water sprayed super high out of the mat!

Ms. Denise also had popsicles for the kids.  We attempted a group shot (we had one little girl missing because she was sick on the last day).

We spent the last 1 1/2 hours outside that afternoon.  The kids had a blast and I'm so glad Ms. Denise did something special for them on the last day!

Rylan's class had a much more normal day (except they had pizza and ice cream for lunch like most of the school).

Both boys also got some fun summer toys from their teachers that they've already been enjoying.
