Every once in awhile I get on a couponing kick. I always use coupons but there are times that I scour my favorite blogs and seek out the really good deals.
I hit up Publix, CVS, and Target this morning and got some great deals.
This is my receipt from Publix. It's always great when the savings is twice the actual cost!
I got 5 medium boxes of Cheerios, 10 boxes of Quaker Chewy granola bars, 4 boxes of Nature Valley granola bars, 2 bags of Goldfish, & 1 bottle of marinade for $22.27. This is all stuff we regularly use so I just have a stockpile of it for a little bit.
CVS has Simple products on sale and with some manufacturer and CVS coupons, I got 3 items for $3.98 (including tax, but I have $5 in register rewards to use - not a big deal since I usually find some sort of deal there every few weeks).
And this was my Target haul that cost exactly $1, including tax. Every item was free but since some coupons were manufacturer coupons, I had to pay tax on that portion of the cost.
As a reward for getting dragged around to 3 stores this morning and getting their hair cut, I took the boys to the theater for the last discount movie of the summer. A lot of kids are back in school already so there were no lines today - it was awesome! Megamind was the movie today - I had never seen it before and it was pretty good (though I think the boys didn't get a lot of it).
Rylan looks so different with short hair again (I actually kind of liked it long).
