Papa Mike's Visit

My dad was in Nashville from Saturday July 28th through Thursday August 2nd (and then we went with him to Milwaukee).  I've done a few posts already with what we did during his visit, but here are some more pictures I took during it.

My dad brought the boys LOTS of gifts.  One of their favorites is this Melissa & Doug easel.   Both boys have created MANY "masterpieces".

On Tuesday we went bowling to show Papa Mike the mini-lanes that we go to.

After naps on Tuesday we got out the pool and some water toys so that we could survive the heat outside.

My dad got the boys new water guns with sharks on them (Carter LOVES his).

Rylan preferred the water guns Papa Mike got the boys a couple of years ago because they are smaller and easier to use (though my dad still had to fill them for him).

Papa Mike will let the boys do just about anything :)  And he kept filling up water guns for Rylan so he had more ammo!

Rylan was pretty much attached to Papa Mike (he calls him "Me Mike").  Every morning when I'd get him he'd immediately ask for him.  He's been going to the guest bedroom the last couple of days to see if he's there.

On Thursday evening we went to dinner at Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant in downtown Franklin.

This is one of our favorite local restaurants.  It has a great, fun atmosphere (and the kids don't bother anyone if they are loud because of the live music).
