We visited Cumberland Park again today, but this time we went after storytime at the downtown library so that the boys could play in the fountains. Today is the last weekday of the summer that the fountains start running at 11 am (school started today in Davidson County so they don't start running the fountains until 3 pm).
It was hot but the water kept us cool and we had a lot of fun. There are several sprays out of the ground and it's sloped so that a shallow pool is created. Also, "rain" falls off the edges of the bridge that crosses the edge of the area (and luckily creates some shade).
