The boys have been taking gymnastics again this spring at Harpeth Gymnastics. At the end of class, the kids get a stamp, usually on their hands. A couple of weeks ago they all asked for their tummies!
We got (hopefully!) our last snow of the season about a week and a half ago. It poured snow for a little bit - we probably got the most accumulation we'd had all year. But the snow melted a few minutes after it stopped.
We still had baseball practice that night and about froze. Rylan hung out in Suzy's car with her and Hutch and I helped on the field. All the boys were shivering standing around in the field without gloves. I was able to put my hands in my pockets and they still ached so much. But we made it through it and then headed to Chick-fil-A for kids night. It ended up being Suzy (with all 3 of her kids), Christy & Tim (with all 3 of their kids), and me with the boys. We easily took over 4 tables.
Last week Carter's class was working on the letter V. For show-and-tell, he brought this mini volcano. I filled it with baking soda and Ms. Denise let Carter add vinegar to it to make it explode.
Last Saturday the boys both had birthday parties to go to. Carter's was for Annalane at My Gym, and Brian took him since the party times overlapped. I took Rylan to Hannah's house for her birthday party.
Rylan eating cupcakes with Madelyn (with blue frosting in his teeth) ...
Rylan hanging with his best buddy from school (Luke) and watching Frozen ...
Rylan got a new carseat right before we went to Disney World. It's a Britax Frontier 90 just like the one I got Carter a few months ago. The boys favorite part is the cup holders. Apparently the carseats are comfortable enough to sleep in too! Rylan had passed out on the way to soccer practice on Monday. He was in such a bad mood when I got him up for practice that he ended up laying on the sideline the entire practice and not participating at all.
Lyla, one of the girls in Carter's class, made him a bracelet the other day. She told him that she did only boy colors for him. So sweet! For some reason the subject of girlfriends came up the other day. I asked Carter if he had one. He had to whisper it to me, but he does. Apparently it's Sarah Kate in his class. They've been in the same class all three years at preschool. Last year Carter got "married" to Sadie Mae on the playground. He loves the ladies!!!
Carter's class worked on the letter W this week so for show-and-tell, he brought a wooden monster truck he built at Lowe's awhile back.
