Tuesday was "Twisted Tuesday". The kids were supposed to dress twisted and wacky. I always think this is harder for the boys to do than the girls. Carter and Rylan ended up wearing their shirts backwards and then a red and blue soccer sock.
(Rylan is obsessed with tacking pictures with his hiking stick. And Carter wanted to include his Lego Duplo elephant in the pictures.)
On Tuesday the kids were each supposed to bring in one flower for their teacher and the room mom (me for both classes) was supposed to bring in a vase to put them all in. Our classes decided purchasing just one flower is difficult so we decided to just collect money and bring in single large bouquet for the teachers. On Monday afternoon, I went to Michael's and bought vases and then picked up flowers at Publix.
Carter's teacher's favorite flower is tulips so we gave her 40 tulips.
Rylan's teachers didn't list a favorite flower on their information sheets they gave me earlier in the year so I decided on hydrangeas, tulips, and mums.
The teachers also got to have breakfast on Tuesday morning as a bunch of families brought in breakfast food for them.
Wednesday was "Western Wear Wednesday". Rylan was a little upset he didn't have school on Wednesday and get to dress up like Carter.
Thursday was "Thankful Thursday" and the kids were to wear red or pink to show their love for their teachers.
Carter and Rylan also brought in their gifts for their teachers that day. We made them canvas bags with flowers made from the boys' handprints.
Also on Thursday, the teachers got to have a catered lunch from Newk's. I volunteered to help distribute the lunches to the teachers and got to see Carter in the hall (he was so surprised!).
