Carter was SO EXCITED about going swimming. I'm really hating that we don't have a pool in our neighborhood but hopefully I'll finally get around to calling the Y tomorrow to find out about their summer membership.
Carter did awesome in the water. He wanted to swim right away. He still wasn't huge on putting his head under the water but this was the first time in the pool this season. He did get brave and venture out a little further than he could stand and started to panic a little before I got to him (he was treading water but still swallowed some). He got over it though quickly and kept right on.
Rylan took a little longer to come in the water. But like all things, if you give him space and let him do it on his terms, he decided to give it a try. He started by sitting on the edge and putting his feet in and eventually wanted to be completely in (the water was a little cool still so it took extra courage).
We had a lot of fun but it's completely different keeping up with 2 mobile boys that can't swim by themselves yet. I may start looking into lessons for these guys so I feel more comfortable about taking them to the pool!
