We went to the Kids' Workshop at Home Depot today so that Carter could build a planter. I'm still amazed at how good he is with a hammer. Brian agreed that Carter's probably better than me!






This afternoon the boys and I played outside a little before Carter's nap. Both boys love the neighbors' two labs (Doc and Gus). Carter is always looking to see if they are out and Rylan giggles whenever he sees them. Carter likes to kiss their noses when they stick them through the fence.


For dinner we packed a bunch of snack food and had a picnic at McFee Park. It was a beautiful evening - super sunny, breezy, and the perfect temperature for just a light jacket. Rylan was happy sitting on the picnic blanket and playing with toys for almost an hour and a half. Carter enjoyed playing on the playground and coming back to the picnic blanket often for more food.
