In the goodie bag from Hannah's party were little notebooks and pencils.  Carter and Rylan got the same Cars notepads so Carter wanted to write his name in his.  He asked for help a couple of times but I wanted to see how he'd do without it so I just told him that he knew how to do it and to try his best.

Here is how it turned out:

We need to practice (especially with that backwards E that has a few too many horizontal lines), but at least it's a start (Carter usually refuses to try because he knows he can't do it quite right yet).
