I set up an ornament painting area in the dining room.
Gingerbread houses were in the kitchen. Brian and I made the houses the night before. Everyone brought a tub of icing and a bag or two of candy. We had lots of decorating supplies!
I also got these little candle holders and had the kids put their handprints on them that I turned into snowmen.
The kids spent a lot of time just playing. They were upstairs, downstairs, and even on the (cold) screened porch. Luckily the kids are getting old enough we don't have to be watching them every second anymore. I think we only had 3 toys get broken :)
The kids did take breaks to do the activities I had set up. They were actually excited about doing them and a bunch were sitting at the table waiting for us to get them started before everyone was here.
Hutch (our youngest of the bunch that day - he'll be 2 in about a week) ...
Gingerbread house decorating!!! Look at all those kids!
Rylan and Carter did their houses with no help from me (other than frosting them). They look like they were taking the decorating very seriously!

I'm so glad so many of our friends could come do some fun Christmas activities with us. It was so much fun having everyone over!
