When deciding on Carter's birthday party, he mentioned a few times he wanted it at Glow Galaxy (like last year). I finally figured out that he wanted it there so he could play miniature golf. So I promised him we'd take him ourselves and he didn't want to have the party there anymore (thank goodness - they are so expensive!).
There was a Groupon for the mini-golf place inside the mall in Murfreesboro so I bought it. It was the perfect place for a late-November game when it was frigid outside! And, bonus, the place is black-lit like Glow Galaxy!
You can't just buy one game - you get three games (it's still cheap). The boys made it through 1 game and a couple more holes but Brian and I played 2 full rounds. There were some people there for our first round but it was empty for our second so the kids got to do their own thing while Brian and I finished up. For probably the first time ever, I beat Brian. BOTH times!!! I have to gloat because it'll never happen again :)
The kids had fun and Carter is surprisingly good! There were lots of fun holes with windmills and tunnels that kept things interesting.
As we were leaving, we noticed Santa was just outside the mini-golf place. There was only one family in line so we decided to go say hi!
Carter was a little shy (he wanted Brian to go with him) and Rylan had no interest in seeing Santa.
Carter did a good job telling Santa what he wanted. He needed a little promoting at first, but then he spoke up (he only asked for Legos, I think).
Eventually Rylan got close but wouldn't say a word. We had to ignore him and he just came over - he has to do it on HIS terms :)
Reindeer hats and coloring books to take home - score! :)
