Thanksgiving

We went to Raleigh for Thanksgiving this year (like we normally do), and we stayed with Brian's parents.  My sister and Mike came down from DC Thursday through Saturday.  My dad and Jan came up for the day Thursday.  And my mom came from Friday to Sunday.  Along with Dale who is living with Brian's parents right now, it was a full house.

Apparently dinner made Charlotte and Bella very sleepy.

Carter got birthday presents from my mom, Karey, and Mike over the long weekend.  Mike picked out this game called Doggie Doo.

We also brought along one of the gifts Carter got from a friend at his birthday party - a rocket.  We had to build it (which involved a lot of work for Brian and I).  Then we drove out to the land that Dale has purchased and is going to build an auto shop and house on to shoot the rocket.

It didn't go as high as the box advertised and Brian got covered in baking soda and vinegar, but it was fun!

On the way home we picked up some food from the grocery store and used the oil from frying the turkey one more time.

We may have gone overboard on fried food!

Other than Brian and I getting sick the last couple of days, we had a great trip!
