Geocache

Rylan has been wanted to go geocaching since we went a few weeks ago as a family.  I think he's just excited about the potential "prizes" he could get in a cache :)

So Friday after school, we actually had no commitments so I took him and Gray to go look for a couple (Carter didn't want to go and stayed home with Brian who was working).  Our first attempt was a bust.  Rylan searched every single tree and bush in the area where is was supposed to be, and he found nothing.  Our second attempt was better!

We found this geocache under a bridge on the greenway I often run on.

Rylan was happy with the bracelet he picked out of the cache.

It's hard to be sneaky on the busy greenway and re-hide the cache without anyone seeing us!

Rylan is begging to find more soon!  We are still figuring out what we are doing with geocaching.  I like that there are clues that lead you to letterboxes.  Just having the coordinates of a geocache is a little more difficult because it puts you in the general area, but then you don't know if you are supposed to look in a tree, under a rock, etc for the cache (or else we are missing that part on the website we've been using to find these!).
