Target Toy Clearance

Today was the January toy clearance at Target where you can get some amazing toys at 75% off. I stocked up for the year on gifts for both boys as well as gifts for friends' kids and toys to donate next Christmas. I know it's a long time to hold onto so many toys, but it's worth it for all that we save.

We went to the Target at West Hills this morning right when it opened. I actually had Brian go with me on his way to work since it was before he normally even leaves the house in the morning. Unfortunately when we got to Target, all the toys were still 30-50% off. I asked an employee what was up and she said they'd get to the toys eventually (they were currently working on marking down shoes).

I decided to head over to the Target at Turkey Creek then with the kids since it's only about 10 minutes down I-40 and sent Brian to work. Luckily they had already completed their markdowns and almost everything was priced at 75% off. I had the couple of clearance aisles all to myself too - no other shoppers at all! Knox county schools were on a one-hour delay this morning and that may of helped. It was nice that it was so empty because I had the kids in the double Maclaren stroller and was dragging a cart behind us. I already knew what I wanted too since I had been to Target earlier in the week.

I got a ton at the Turkey Creek Target but there were a couple of things that were only at the West Hills Target that I really wanted so I headed back over there. Unfortunately they still weren't working on marking down toys when I got there. I even asked an employee working on marking another department down if she'd scan my 4 things but she refused. The boys and I waited around about an hour and I was getting close to giving up. But luckily there was a really annoyed woman there that was also waiting around who got fed up and called a manager back to the toy department. After almost yelling at the poor guy for 5 minutes, he gave in and got someone to scan her toys (and mine since I was standing close by).

So here's what I got and what I paid for it (everything I got was 75% off). Most things were the only one they had of the item too so I was lucky to have gotten to Target before everyone else!

Step 2 New Traditions Kitchen ($19.98) - I'm SO EXCITED about this one. The one toy Carter probably plays with more than the train tables at childrens' museums is the kitchen sets.

General Mills Food Set ($2.50)

Kid Tough Video Camera ($11.24) - Carter is obsessed with watching videos of himself right now. He also loves to pretend to take pictures with my camera. So I have high hopes for this video camera!

Playmobil My Take Along Police Station ($8.74) - Everything Playmobil that we have so far has been a huge hit. This toy set looks super cool.

Playmobil Knight Set ($1.57)

Vtech Manny's Construction Laptop ($7.48)

Fisher-Price Handy Manny Bike Shop ($2.48)

Leap Frog Tag Reader & Toy Story 3 Book ($11.24) - It may be another year (at least) before Carter can use this, but I couldn't pass it up for such a good price!

Leap Frog Tag Storybooks ($3.48 each)

Black & Decker Tool Set ($3.75)

Rhino Rampage Game ($5.97)

Little People Discovery Airport ($9.98) - We're definitely planning to donate this one next Christmas since we have tons of Little People stuff already.

Vtech 3-in-1 Learning Zebra Scooter ($9.98)

Leap Frog Alphabet Pal ($4.97)
