Nashville Sounds Game

We went to a Nashville Sounds game last night.  This was the fourth game of our five-pack of tickets.  It has been the coolest summer that I can remember in a long time and Carter and I were actually cold the second half of the game.  But I'm not going to complain - so much better than super hot and humid!!!

As we were walking in someone was handing out those boom sticks - we were "so happy" to get them :)

The boys' attention span had wained by the fifth inning so we moved down to where the visiting team's pitchers warm up.  This area is almost completely empty so no one cares if the boys are walking the aisles and being a little loud.  Carter REALLY wanted to catch a foul ball.  When he had to go to the bathroom, he gave Brian specific instructions on getting him a ball.

As Carter and I were returning, Rylan was holding up a ball.  Carter said something like, "WHAT!?!?!  How'd you get a ball!!!" and Rylan was doing his evil laugh.  Apparently when the visiting team was done warming up, one of the outfielders was throwing a ball back to the pitchers' area and it bounced over the wall and almost got Rylan in the head.  And since it was dirty, Rylan was trying to give it back until Brian told him Carter wanted a ball and then Rylan became extremely possessive of it.

The next couple of innings were rough as Carter whined constantly that he wanted a ball too.  The "life isn't fair" lesson is a really hard one to learn!  We left a little after 9 pm as it was way past the boys' bedtime (and we couldn't stand any more whining!).  Still, it was a fun evening!
