Last night I went to the boys' school for orientation. I got to meet their teachers and learn about what they will be doing during their days at school.
Carter is in a pre-K class with Ms. Denise. She seems awesome! She moved up from a 4-year-old class to the pre-K class this year but she seems more than prepared. She's had 4 kids go through kindergarten recently-ish (her youngest is 8) so she's very familiar with what our kids need as far as preparation for kindergarten.
Carter also has a great set of kids in his class. All the kids from his class last year (minus one that switched schools) are in his class. And I LOVED the kids in his class (and the parents). Also, his best friend from his first year at the school (Sophie) is in his class. Plus a few more a don't know for a total of 13 kids.
Here's Carter's schedule for his days at school ...
I also really like Rylan's PDO teachers. They are so different than last year. They are much more loving (I think Rylan was a little scared of one his teachers last year) and they want the parents much more involved (we are allowed to enter the classroom this year - yay!). They will talk your ear off though :)
Rylan only has one kid in his class from last year - Maddox. Heather and I both chose to send our boys 2 days a week instead of 3 (with the summer birthdays, we could choose). Plus since the class is still technically PDO instead of preschool, the kids don't have to be potty trained (which is great since Rylan has zero desire still).
Here is Rylan's daily schedule ...
I think the boys are ready to go back to school - I know I am :)
