Target Toy Clearance

Today was the big semi-annual toy clearance at Target.  It was a little weird this year because none of our stores consolidated the clearance items into their own aisles - they were mixed in with all the other toys.  From reading other blogs, it seemed to be that way almost everywhere.  Though it took a little more time to go through the aisles, at least there weren't a bunch of people with carts all crammed into two aisles.  Plus, the people in Franklin and Brentwood aren't as crazy about this sale as the people in Knoxville were.  There is hardly anyone out early so it's not too hard to shop (other than telling Carter he can't open all the toys when we get home!).

The kids and I went to 3 Targets this morning.

We went to Brentwood first.  They had only just started doing markdowns and there wasn't anyone in site to continue working on them.  After about 30 minutes, I bought what I wanted that was already marked down and headed to the next Target.

The next Target we hit was in Franklin.  Everything was already marked down there and I got a few more things.  I didn't think that the selection was quite as good this year but I still really the things I found.

The kids and I went to the summer movie at the theater next to see Bee Movie.  Rylan did great just sitting and watching the movie and stuffing his face with popcorn.  Carter claimed he didn't like the movie though and sat on my lap most of the time.  When it was over though he told me he liked it and even clapped.  We had great timing though.  We got to the theater about 9:50, waited in line about 20 minutes, made it through Carter saying he really had to pee when we were next in line, and sat down in our seats just as they turned the lights down for the 10:15 showing.

After the movie we went to the Cool Springs Target just to see if there was anything left.  Everything was marked down and it was pretty picked over but I did find a couple of things.
