Nashville Predators

We went to a preseason Predators game on Sunday evening.  I had gotten a promotional email from Bridgestone Arena offering 2 free general admission tickets.  Brian and I both took advantage of the offer and got 4 tickets for the 5 pm game (so nice not dealing with a late game and late bedtime!).

The tickets were for general admission to half the 300 level sections.  However, you had to find open seats between all the season ticket holder seats.

After a little scanning the crowd, we found several seats together.  As we waited for the game to start, the boys both had looks of awe on their faces.

The thing the boys look forward to the most is when the team skates onto the ice through this saber tooth tiger mouth.  Unfortunately when it was about half way down from the ceiling, one of the cables got stuck and they just decided to pull it back up.

The Titans finished playing a home game a couple of hours earlier so T-Rac came out with Gnash.

And the game finally started!

In less than a minute, there was a fight.  Carter LOVED it.  He now says he likes hockey because of the fights!

GOAL!  The Predators ended up beating the NY Islanders 2-0.

Fang Fingers!  (When the other team gets a penalty, the crowd makes "fang fingers".)

Too loud!!!

Downtown was still a madhouse when we left.  The Titans had pulled out a last-drive win earlier in the day and with the first home preseason Predators game just ending, there were people everywhere still.  Maybe someday Brian and I will go downtown in the evening for a night out :)
