The boys and I started putting together our scarecrow for Cheekwood on Monday. We have to set it up there next week so I'll do a full post about it then!
Carter and I planted some sunflower seeds that he got from a library program this summer. We planted them in four spots in one of backyard beds. They all started growing and then the rabbits ate them down to the ground. A couple of weeks ago we saw a large "weed" in the bed and realized it was probably a sunflower. And it was. And it bloomed this week. Carter is SO EXCITED.
We had afternoon storms come through on Tuesday and today and had to cancel both boys' soccer practices. On Tuesday we decided to go to Chick-fil-A for dinner since it was Kids Night (yay free kids meals!).
The Balloon Guy was there and Carter got a battle ax.
Rylan got a skeleton.
On Wednesday Rylan and I met Missy and Luke at the downtown library for storytime. At the end, Rylan actually went up front and sat on the edge of the stage while "What a Wonderful World" was sung. It's so sweet watching all the little ones lined up on the stage during that song.
Carter brought home this drawing of our family yesterday from school. Carter informed me that Ms. Denise had labeled Brian and me incorrectly. I'm the huge one wearing black. At least I have feet, hands and fingers! :)
