Centennial Park

On Friday I took the boys to Centennial Park because the TACA Art Fair was going on.  We went for the art fair in the fall as well.

I've been collecting bread ends in the freezer for awhile in anticipation of feeding the ducks at the park. So I defrosted some and brought it along.  The boys have fed animals at farms and fairs before, but this was our first time feeding ducks at a pond.  The boys thought it was pretty awesome.  They even tore the bread up themselves (Rylan's were a little large sometimes though).

Next we walked around the pond and climbed some trees and took some pictures.

We stopped by the airplane and train for a few minutes and then hit the playground.

Once the playground was overtaken by big kids in school groups, we walked around the art fair.  I wasn't really looking for anything other than paintings of Nashville and Franklin (which there were none - only photos, most of which I feel I could have done).  So we headed into the kids tent where we spent A LOT of time.  There were 4 sponsors (the Nashville Ballet, the Renaissance Center, Cheekwood, and Ingles) that each had a unique activity.  The highlights were making a Rainbow Fish (like the book), a puzzle, a glow-in-the dark light craft, and getting a small soccer ball to take home.

Before heading home, we had a picnic next to the Pantheon ...

and then played with bubble wands.

The boys and I had a great morning, just the 3 of us!
