Rylan has one more week of gymnastics left (then we have a week off and then both boys start summer session). The last class is a fun class where they get out the parachute and just do fun things. So last Wednesday's class was the awards ceremony. But first the kids had a normal class (the preschool parents were allowed in the gym though to watch their kids).
First the kids warm up and stretch.
Rylan has gotten better over the last few months and still gets excited about to gymnastics. Coach Leslie is helping Rylan hold him arms straight here (I can't remember what this skill is called).
Rylan is supposed to lift his feet up to his hands here but he just can't (or won't) do it. Maybe that big belly just gets in the way still :)
After the first set of skills (which are set up in sort of obstacle course the kids repeat a few times), the class gets to play in the foam pit. Rylan really wanted to be thrown in the pit and I was already in there from helping him out so Coach Leslie tossed him in this time. Looks a little scary to me!
Rylan and Luke were throwing foam blocks at one another and then Rylan climbed over to Luke and they ganged up on me! That look on Rylan's face is a little evil! :)
After the foam pit the kids have another set of skills to practice ...
And then they get some time on the trampoline and tumble track. Rylan can get some air!!!
At the end of class, each kid in the mommy and me and preschool classes got to go up on a "podium" and get a medal.

Rylan is very proud of his medal. Carter has two (one from his preschool class last year and one from his third birthday party) so Rylan is very happy to have one of his own now!
