Sounds Game

On Mother's Day, my request was that we go to another Nashville Sounds game.  Again, the game was at 2:05 pm so that meant missing naps.  Both boys fell asleep on the way there and Rylan slept on the way home too.

Before passing out, both boys were super excited about going to the game.  They both had to wear their baseball hats and gloves.  They added sunglasses too and turned into these two "cool dudes" ...

The boys did great during the game.  When they got antsy, we just moved seats (we moved two times but since it's not all that crowded, it's easy to do).

The last place we ended up was on the first base side in the outfield.  We sat on the front row and got to watch the relief pitchers warm up a few feet in front of us.  The boys were amazed by how hard the ball was being thrown.  They kept going back and forth saying they wanted to be a pitcher and a catcher.

The weather was perfect (mid-60s, sunny, and a light breeze) and I think it helped everyone chill.  It was really relaxing which doesn't happen with a 4 and 2 year old very often :)

We made it to the end of the game which meant the boys got to run the bases!  I didn't think this would be that big of a deal, but both boys LOVED it.

We had to wait in line and I was sure Rylan was going to make me run the bases with him so I joined the boys on the field.

But Rylan amazed me and said he could do it on his own!  Yeah!

Here's Carter at first base and Rylan half way there.

Brian even got a video from the stands (I didn't even request it for once - thank you, Brian!).  The video was too large for blogger so it's broken into 3 parts below.  It's not easy to see but Carter is the 3rd kid to start in the video and Rylan is the 4th.

Yes, Rylan missed 3rd base - he was getting tired!  But he gave Ozzie (the mascot) a high five after 2nd.  Carter said he skipped Ozzie because he wanted to go faster and beat other kids.  Poor kid got my ridiculously competitive nature!

We had a great time and I had a very happy Mother's Day!!!
