The last phase of our neighborhood is finally getting started. They have been clearing trees for the road over the last few weeks. We decided to do a little exploring on Sunday (and only managed to get 3 ticks on us - we carried the boys on our shoulders a lot so all the ticks were on Brian and me).
On Monday I took the boys to The Factory to do a little pottery painting and we had to stop at the giant rocking chair.
A typical Tuesday morning ... watching a cartoon with a Spiderman mask and football.
The boys went to a pool party today for Carter's preschool class. It was at Sadie Mae's house (a.k.a. Carter's wife).
As soon as we got there, Stephanie (Sadie Mae's mom) told me that Sadie Mae picked out her bathing suit this morning and said she chose that one because she thought Carter would like it :)
Most of the class made it to the party as well as a few siblings. Rylan decided the water was too cold and wanted out immediately the few times he tried it out (I even went in with him - and I agreed it was freezing). He did take one expected plunge though when trying to fill up a water gun. Luckily I noticed his dive immediately and got around the pool to pull him out quickly. He was a little freaked out but fine.
Though they both played with a lot of other kids for the first half of the party, Carter and Sadie Mae were attached to each other by the end.
However, I think Carter may have some competition from Campbell. Both boys wanted to sit next to Sadie Mae when eating lunch!
This evening I bribed the boys to run errands with me (with no complaining) by taking them bowling at the mini-lanes.
They are both surprisingly good! Carter got 2 spares and Rylan got 1 this time.
