Besides the egg hunt, there was face painting (which neither of my boys were interested in doing), a jelly bean guess, and pictures with the Easter bunny. We got in line right when we got there for pictures with the bunny and barely got it in before the egg hunt started (we had maybe 30 seconds to spare).
We randomly got in line behind one of the boys that was on Carter's soccer team in the fall, which worked out perfectly because then all the boys played nearby while we stood in line. And Carter was super excited to see Aidan again!
As I expected, Rylan didn't want anything to do with the Easter bunny. I didn't want to force him so here is Carter with the bunny! At this point, Carter thought this was the real Easter bunny (he changed his mind after his experience with a bunny at Cheekwood, but that's be in another post).
Rylan didn't even have an egg in his basket before looking for his next one (he dropped one a few times because he wasn't looking at what he was doing).
There were 30,000 eggs split between 4 sections based on age. Every kid we saw ended up with a basketful of eggs, which is awesome. And the boys were excited to find that all the eggs had a piece of candy in them (even though they've only eaten a couple of pieces so far and have already forgotten about it).
I love this cute picture of Carter!
This was a great community egg hunt and we plan to be back next year!
