Nashville Sounds

We took the boys to a Nashville Sounds game this afternoon.  The Sounds are a triple-A team for the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Sounds have a kids club program which includes 5 tickets to Sunday games, a t-shirt, a backpack, and a water bottle.  It's a great deal (only $15) so I signed both boys up.

I also bought a 10 pack of tickets at a discount for Brian and me to split to go to the games with the kids.  With all our packages, we get to sit in the best available seats and today we started the game behind home plate (this area was packed though so we moved to an open area after a couple of innings).

On the way in, the boys and I posed with an inflatable Ozzie (the Sounds' mascot).

Carter is still playing baseball and I pulled his glove out yesterday for him to start bringing to practice.  Rylan was upset that he didn't have one and that he can't use Carter's since he plays sports left-handed so far.  So while we were out this morning picking up some stuff for the yard, we got Rylan a glove he could bring to the game.

We started off on row 8.

After the second inning, we moved up a little and over a section where we could spread out.  There were only a handful of people in this section.

We had to get some ball park food.  Rylan and I shared popcorn (he didn't want to share and kept trying to cover the top of the bag with his hands but I was able to get my share).

Carter and Brian shared nachos.

The promotion today was that it was Ozzie's birthday.  So to help celebrate, other local mascots were at the park, including Gnash from the Predators.

Here's Carter with Ozzie.

Rylan was super excited in our seats to go meet the mascots but got shy when we got to them and wouldn't be in a picture.

We stayed until the middle of the eighth inning.  The boys were interested enough and say they want to go again soon.  Even though they didn't pay attention the whole time, they behaved great and seemed to have fun!
