Spirit Week

This week the boys had Spirit Week and Teacher Appreciation Week at school.

For Spirit Week, the boys were encouraged to dress a certain way each day.

Tuesday was "Twisted Tuesday" and the kids were to dress as twisted and wacky as they could.  I had a little trouble thinking of how to do this for boys.  But Carter and Rylan wore mismatched socks, wore long sleeved shirts under their short sleeved ones that didn't match at all, and Carter wore his Glow Galaxy shirt with one of Brian's ties.

Wednesday was "Western Day".  Luckily only Carter had school because we only have one cowboy hat (a Woody hat from Toy Story that Brian's parents got him a long time ago).

Thursday was "Thankful Thursday" and the kids were to were red or pink to show their love for their teachers.

For Teacher Appreciation, the boys and I made the teachers cards, some art, and got cupcakes from GiGi's.

The boys held up signs saying "Thank you ..." and then signs with messages of what they appreciate.

Carter's signs said ...

"for teaching me letter sounds and a million other things."

and

"for teaching me about Jesus and being a good person."

The boys also signed their names.

Rylan's signs said ...

"for building my confidence and helping me make friends."

and

"for teaching me colors, shapes, and manners."

Rylan attempted to connect the dots of his name that I drew.

For the gift, I cut out a tree and leaves.  I wrote the names of all the kids in each class on the leaves.  Then I stamped on flowers and the message, "Thank you for helping us grow".

On the back of each frame, I included the year and either Carter's or Rylan's name.
